The Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill: heart of ancient Rome
The Colosseum, built in the 1st century AD, was a massive amphitheater capable of accommodating up to 80,000 spectators and hosted various events, including gladiatorial contests, animal hunts, and naval battles. We move then to the Roman Forum, which served as the political and commercial center of ancient Rome. Lastly, Palatine Hill, one of Rome’s seven hills, home to Imperial Palaces and the core of ancient Rome, offers a panoramic view of the Roman Forum and the city.
